This episode of the Classic Christian Writers podcast features the first of two parts of a sermon by Charles Haddon Spurgeon called “Omniscience.” I being by reading an excerpt of a sermon, "Pure and Unblemished Worship"[1] by August Hermann Francke, a German pietist who lived from 1663-1727.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon is a much loved English preacher from the 19th century. Spurgeon, a Baptist and Calvinist, was highly regarded even among the Presbyterians and Congregationalists. By the time he was 22, he was one of the best known preachers of his day, often preaching to the over 10,000 people present.

The sermon we will be highlighting in this and the next Classic Christian Writings podcast is Spurgeon’s sermon “Omniscience.” It was preached by Spurgeon on Sunday evening, June 15, 1856 in Exeter Hall, just 4 days before his 22nd birthday.
